Welcome to Everyday Stuff! Now you might be saying to yourself, “Dave, what gives? ES has been around for years. Why are you starting anew”? Well, there are a couple reasons. Firstly, Despite what it was, ES was starting to get into story territory. Aside from using the original comic as an experiment on creating comics, there were stops and starts and the strip itself was intterupted by other material.

This is a chance to start fresh with my experience behind me. You don’t need to read the original Everyday Stuff to enjoy this. All the stories will be retold and retooled. So since the comic is starting anew, i am re-introducing the characters. They evolved a lot over the 5 years of ES, and will probably continue to do so. This way though, there’s a definitive starting point.

Ah Andrew. One of the voices of common sense in the comic. The problem being his view of common sense doesn’t always match up to everyone else’s. Still, unlike Dave, at least he has it.

The female cast member. Yeah i know, what a webcomic cliche. A bunch of guys, one girl. She can get angry and she’s a bit neurotic. I have the upper hand though! This one is also a very intellegent scientist, and she’s got a cool name!

He brought cake! Now we get into the secondary characters (of which there are 2 at the moment). They don’t introduce themselves but you get the idea. Effa is kinda on the same page as Dave. He’s a little more switched on however. It’s all a rich tapestry.

And now we have a character who’s on the same page as Andrew. See what’s happening here? There’s a pattern! So are we gonna see someone on the same page as Rouha? Sadly not for a while. I do plan on it though.

And that ends the intro to the strip. Where is Effa hiding those cakes? Ah, absurdity.

Or should the title be, “Dave takes off his shirt. Beware!”?

I’ll leave it to you to decide what this strip is about.

It was inspired by something horrible that was caused by stupidity.

I managed to get a joke out of it. There’s always a bright side!
